This project involved the complete re-design and rebuild of an existing house to a brand new design. Lambs were tasked to handle the planning and preparation of all stonework elements involved in the project.
After visiting the site and assessing the architect’s drawings, we provided a report and quotation for the supply of decorative String Courses, Plinths, Doorways and an Orangery.
Originally designed in a Lutyens style, by request The Orangery was redesigned by Lambs into a more traditional Classic design with hidden gutters in keeping with refined architectural form.
Along with the design and manufacture of suitable moulded String Courses and Doorways, Lambs also designed and supplied steps to rear and front entrances.
All design work was carried out through a process of detailed hand sketches followed by Auto Cad and Solid Works digital drawings.
Wealden Sussex Sandstone Traditional Tooled Walling was used throughout this project and due care was taken to ensure all masonry items complimented with our Masonry Grade sandstone.
This stone weathers from a fine honey colour to subtle autumn shades over time and is the ideal natural product to blend traditional and contemporary building design.
