These extruded and perforated red facing bricks have the appearance of a more traditional pressed brick that has been fired in a controlled gas kiln. This makes them a cost-effective choice. With their velvety red surface, this brick has a refined 'city' look that dates from the 1850s onwards.

These modern extruded bricks are also available in gold and gault, the creamy white brick colour that became popular in Victorian times.
